Celebrating Culture at Splice 

Young people across Splice are thrilled to celebrate different cultures throughout the year. During Splice sessions, young people have had the chance to explore traditions from around the world through taste-testing global foods, asking culturally focused questions, and taking part in creative arts and crafts. These activities have helped them understand the unique elements that shape each celebration and appreciate the richness behind different traditions. 

Alongside exploring global cultures, Splice has also celebrated special days throughout the year. Young people have enjoyed marking occasions such as Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day, creating thoughtful crafts and taking part in themed activities. They also celebrated Easter by making their own Easter treats and exploring the Easter story through hands-on, engaging sessions that helped deepen their understanding.  

By being able to celebrate different culture, Splice has been able to help young people develop curiosity about the world around them. These experiences not only broaden their horizons but also helping them to understand that diversity is something to honour, appreciate and celebrate all year round.
