Power in Community – Mental Health Awareness Week 2025

Our lovely THinK team (Jess and El) at Our Place, Knowsley continue to work very hard, with lots of exciting plans in the pipeline for their groups and school sessions!
With Mental Health Awareness Week approaching (12th to 18th May), the team have been supporting Knowsley’s Youth Health Steering Group who have been thinking about this year’s theme; ‘Power in Community.’
Recently, El, who takes lead with the Health Steering Group, has forged links with the Alder Hey Youth Forum. At the end of April, the two groups met for the first time and ran a joint session where they painted positive pebbles together and laid them out on their own wellbeing walk trail in Springfield Park (L14 5AB). The idea behind this is to encourage others to walk the route and swap painted pebbles with their own creations. The pebbles have been painted with messages and pictures to make people smile when they are walking around the park. As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Health Steering Group wanted to share this uplifting piece of collaborative work and encourage others to take part in their wellbeing walk, swap pebbles and feel the benefits of being out in nature within their community!
