MYA NAVIGATORS
Navigators is a hospital-based intervention service for young people at risk of, or experiencing, violence.
Help when its needed
An increasingly powerful voice in advocating for violence reduction through preventative means, Navigators offers bespoke support to young people aged 10-25-years-old across Alder Hey Hospital Trust and Liverpool University Hospital Foundation Trust. By proactively identifying vulnerable young people, we help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent escalation and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.

How it works
Navigators aims to meet with young people at critical ‘teachable moments’ within the hospital environment, where they are more open and likely to accept support. We can then coordinate support for those young people at the point of hospital admission, right through to their discharge back into the community, building a relationship and offering referrals for mental health, housing, education, employment, emotions and fitness.
