MYA NCS (National Citizens Service)
The Merseyside Youth Association’s local community experiences, funded by NCS is an opportunity for young people to gain life skills, employability skills and develop their own social action project.
Grow Your Strengths
The NCS Targeted programme is a 12-week programme for 16–17-year olds, or up to age 24 for young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will become part of a team and build life skills, employability skills and engage in a positive social action project. You will meet your team once a week, either mid-week after school/college or during the weekend.
The programmes
We have teams running from April 2024, and finishing in March 2025, in three different locations:
- Liverpool – MYA Head Office, 64 Hanover Street, Liverpool, L1 3DY
- Knowsley – MYA Our Place, Longview Dr, Huyton, L36 6EG
- Sefton – MYA SPACE, 106 Marsh Lane, Bootle, L20 4JQ
Our team specifically for young people with SEND will be based in our MYA Our Place office in Huyton.
