MYA YOUTH HUB
The Youth Hub is our holistic and inviting alternative to the Job Centre, offering young people a happy safe place where they can find informal support and referrals.
Good vibes from the word go
Youth Hub has four DWP youth work coaches offering 30-minute appointment times, private rooms, and the ability to refer into MYA. Taking a wraparound approach to the benefit system, it breaks down the barriers to employment faced by people aged between 16 and 24, and is delivered in collaboration with a range of partners including DWP Disability Employment Advisors, DWP Employment Advisors, Seetec CV support, and Career Connect.
The programmes
The Hub runs two programmes: Fitness for Work and Wednesday Afternoon Sessions. Fitness for Work is designed to equip participants with the tools, skills, and coping mechanisms needed to develop a holistic approach towards wellbeing and self-improvement. Our Wednesday Afternoon Sessions mix employability with personal development, with activities ranging from CV building and employer visits to arts activities and outdoor experiences.
